Kelowna Chiropractor Dr. Dale Forsythe
Simply put, I was anticipating even more pain!

When the toboggan careened off the rock and threw the three of us into the air , I had no idea that this would become the first step in my decision to become a chiropractor. When I landed it felt like someone had stabbed my lower back with a red hot poker. The pain was so intense I could hardly breathe, let alone stand up so they put me on the toboggan to get me down to our parents' cars.
The trip into town and the carrying of me into the chiropractor's office was made with a lot of hollering on my part and I was even more frightened of what I thought I was going to have to endure to get corrected. However, my imagination far exceeded the reality as I was able to walk out — by myself — after my chiropractic adjustment!
Two years later, at age sixteen, I badly sprained my ankle during a fastball game. Despite the medical attention I received, this ankle continued to bother me over the next year. When I limped home one day after a ball game, I discovered my chiropractic uncle visiting. One adjustment by him to my ankle gave me almost instant relief and I decided, on that day, that I would become a chiropractor.
I attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario and completed their four-year course in 1971. I found I especially liked all courses that focused on human performance, especially as it applied to the competitive athlete. Classes in orthopedics, dissection and x-ray were of special interest to me. I will always remember my x-ray professor for his ability to motivate me to absorb as much information as I could from every course I took.
Married to Melody, we have five grown children between us and one grandchild. Our passion for horses brought us together only to discover that we shared a personal value about health together with both being active with skiing, golfing, camping, fishing, hunting and dancing. We especially enjoy taking our horses into the backcountry, setting up a wilderness camp and enjoying the beauty that nature offers. It is truly a very spiritual time together!
Making changes in how one lives is not usually easy but it is essential to regaining and maintaining one's health. With having sustained injuries to my neck and back as a teenager, I now go to the gym daily to work on the stretch, strength and cardiovascular exercises necessary to maintain my health at a high level. Regular chiropractic check-ups, together with proper nutrition, are also part of my philosophy of functioning at your best instead of just existing. One should always work hard at forcing one's body to "express optimum health" instead of letting your health deteriorate and then trying to "suppress symptoms".
Enough about me! How can we help you with today's safe and natural chiropractic care? Give us a call so we can help you take your first step towards better health.
